This Privacy Notice (hereinafter the “Privacy Notice”) explains how Kamppi Center collects and processes the personal data of its customers, residents, and their guests, and how Kamppi Center ensures the privacy and security of the information it collects and processes.

In this Privacy Notice, personal data refers to any information that can identify you and that you have provided to us and/or that we have obtained through other channels.

Controller

Kampin Keskus Oy
1783069-2

Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing

The camera surveillance system monitors the shopping center premises, entrances to residential buildings and offices, as well as their surrounding areas, including areas near the entrances. We process personal data of individuals moving within the camera surveillance area to protect our property, prevent misuse and criminal activity, and assist in investigating incidents that have already occurred. The purpose of the surveillance is also to ensure and enhance the safety of our customers, residents, their guests, and the premises of our shopping centers, offices, and residential buildings.

The processing is based on legitimate interest. Personal data may be processed when necessary to pursue the legitimate interests of the controller or third parties.
We consider that processing personal data for the above-mentioned purposes is necessary to protect the property administered by Kamppi Center and to ensure the safety of our customers, residents, and visitors. These objectives cannot be achieved through lighter measures.

Personal Data We Collect

Image material (without sound) recorded by cameras covering the surveillance area, showing persons moving within the monitored premises. In addition to the image, the register records the date and time of events.

Where We Collect Personal Data From

Personal data is collected as image material transferred by the cameras belonging to the camera surveillance system. We notify of camera surveillance with signs and/or stickers in connection with the entrances of the shopping center, offices, and residential buildings.

Disclosure of Personal Data and Recipient Groups

Data is not regularly disclosed to third parties. Information may be disclosed only within the limits permitted and required by applicable legislation.

Personal data may be processed by Kamppi Center employees whose duties involve handling crime or damage-related cases, as well as security guards employed by the security company contracted to provide security services (Securitas Oy). Additionally, personal data may be processed by Kamppi Center employees responsible for maintaining and developing the camera surveillance system.

Data may be disclosed to the police or other competent authorities for criminal investigations. Such disclosure is always based on a specified request by the authority. Personal data may also be provided to insurance companies for processing and resolving insurance matters.

Transfer of Personal Data Outside the EU/EEA

Personal data is not transferred outside the EU or EEA.

Do We Use Profiling?

We do not use your personal data for profiling.

Retention Period of Personal Data

Kamppi Center retains video recordings for one (1) month from the time of recording. After this period, the recordings are automatically destroyed.
Recordings may be retained longer if necessary for processing a criminal or damage-related case. Even in such cases, the recordings are deleted once they are no longer necessary.

We have chosen a one-month retention period because many incidents of crime or damage become known only after a delay. We want to ensure that we are able to utilize the surveillance system for the intended purposes.

Data Security

Kamppi Keskus Oy has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to restrict the use of personal data under its control and to protect the data from loss, accidental destruction, misuse, and unauthorized alteration.
Access to personal data is limited to individuals (Kamppi Center employees and service providers) who need the data for the purposes for which it was collected.

Your Rights

You have the right to inspect the personal data stored about you in the register and to request the correction or deletion of inaccurate, outdated, or unlawful data.
In such cases, we require you to specify the exact time and location, routes, and identifying information that enable us to locate you in the surveillance recordings.

You have the right to object to or request restriction of processing and to file a complaint with the supervisory authority regarding the processing of personal data.

You are entitled to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in accordance with local laws and regulations.
